Yes, we moved! We said our sad goodbyes to Tickfaw on the last Sunday of March. I know this is a surprise to some of our friends and you may be wondering why in the world I haven’t blogged or called to share our big news with you. I can explain, his name is Reese! Yes, I blame my lack of communication on my child and I am sticking with that excuse! Rich was offered a pastoral position in Atmore, Alabama. We turned in our two weeks notice and here we are. Those two weeks were overwhelming and exhausting. Packing up a house with a two month old child is no easy task. It was sad to say goodbye to our friends in Louisiana and I struggled with the idea of moving. If you know me then you are aware of how much I hate change! Top that off with saying goodbye to the first house Rich and I shared together, and the state where my child was born, and some friends that I got close to in the last few months. But I am confident that we made the right decision and I know that God has big plans for us here in Atmore. I am excited about the new church, decorating my new house, and being close to our family. Our parents, Josh and Candace are about an hour away from us. Jake and Diana live about 20 minutes from us! Learning a new town, not so much fun. Even though my grandparents, aunts, and cousins live in Flomaton, I can honestly say the only time I ever came to Atmore was for funerals. So it’s like a whole new world for me. ( a very small new world, no Walmart small!) We are starting to get settled thanks to the Gartmans, Uncle Lynn, Jake, Diana, Andrew, and baby Noah(He was just cute) for coming and helping unload, put up furniture and play with Reese. I also have to thanks Steven Campbell and Jay T. (I can’t spell your last name ever) for helping us pack up and load the uhaul. We would have never made it out of Louisiana without you Jay! And Meagan, thanks for playing with Reese for me. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family in my life. I am excited about meeting more new friends here in Alabama.
