I was so thrilled to have Easter fall on my birthday this year. Easter has been my favorite holiday since I was a child. Worship services are so exciting on Resurrection Sunday, Easter Egg Hunts, egg dying, candy are all reasons that I get so happy at Easter time. This year was extra special since it was Reese’s first Easter. I had the best birthday and Easter ever! Since most of our family is only an hour away, Rich and I got to host the Easter Lunch this year. I think we had like thirty people here! Rich’s grandmothers, Uncles, Aunts, cousins, my grandmother, my brothers, our parents, my sweet nephew and sister-in-law and we even had a guest from Jake’s church come. Unfortunately, Candace(Josh’s wife) had to work:( We missed you!) We had so much food that we even begged Jake and Diana to come over yesterday to help us finish it! We still have a fridge full of food!
Rich’s mom made my favorite cupcakes that are still ruining my need for weight loss! They are so yummy! And I received so many beautiful cards and facebook wishes that just made me feel so loved and special! And everyone went in together and ordered me a wedding album. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! I can’t wait to show it off!
Reese’s Nana(Rich’s mom) bought him this adorable Easter outfit. I was so surprised that he let me put the hat on. It came off before church even began. The bucket is Reese’s first Easter basket from Grammy.(my mom) I was so thrilled that he allowed me to stay in the worship service. I just knew he was going to get hungry half way through. It made my day that I was able to enjoy a day of celebrating with my church family. The whole time I kept thinking about how special it will be when Reese is old enough to understand what God did for us through Jesus! It made such a sweet time of worship for me.
