My God Provides!

When we moved here in August, I thought that it would only take me a few weeks to find the perfect job. I have been offered two jobs but turned one down because of the hour drive and turned one down because it wasn’t the right job. Needless to say, we are poor! I think I have called every preschool within 30 miles of our town. I finally have some options. I have gone from nothing to three intervies in one week! But finacially, we have been really tight. Rich even took a part time job himself to help out. I have sold some Mary Kay but not enough to really help. But somehow or another we have paid our bills and had food to eat. I think for the first time in a long time, when we pray over our food we are truly thankful that God has provided us with food. I am not telling you this to make you feel bad for us, it will just help you understand our emotions yesterday when God proved He is Provider to us once again.

We were a little short this month on our bills and well, you can just say that it was stressful. Yesterday at our Worship Service, the music minster announced to the church that it was Pastor Appreciation Day. The church family collected a love offering as a present for Rich. They gave him this sweet card and as Rich read the card aloud (as the youth insisted;) tears filled my eyes and I could tell he was fighting the tears. The music minister hugged Rich and affirmed him and his ministry and all of a sudden I felt like I was at home. I think it was the moment that I finally felt like this was my new family. When we got home and counted the money, tears flowed as Rich explained to me that it was enough to pay our bills plus extra for groceries. Yeah, my God provides! It was in that moment that I was reminded that I can trust God to meet my needs. God used our Church Family to remind us that He is in control. Even as I am sitting here remembering yesterday, tears are filling my eyes. I just thought maybe some of you may need to hear how God met our needs as a reminder that He will meet yours also.
