An Update on the Wonderful Life of the Gartmans:)

Rich is officially a pastor now at First Baptist Church of Tickfaw, La. I still wonder when I’m going to magically turn into the sweet, soft-spoken Proverbs 31 women that I always imagined as a pastor’s wife. All the pastor’s wives I have known have been great cooks who are awesome hostess and well, I don’t even cook! The great thing is that this wonderful new church family likes me even though I am corky and I never plan on cooking for them. (which I think they should be thankful!) This Sunday was our third Sunday and I really love these people already! We actually spent the whole weekend laughing and working on the church with them and I think we are already a part of the family. We just seem to fit!

Rich and I have been living in the “box” for two months now. The “box” is literally a hotel room whith no kitchen. Just a king size bed and a bathroom. The church has a parsonage, or a house they own, and we will be moving up to Tickfaw in about 3 weeks! We will be moving into a house and boy will it feel like a mansion. I am hoping to post some pictures of our wonderful “box”.

Hey Jennie! I am a worship pastor’s wife, and I don’t cook either. You guys are gonna be such a blessing to those folks.

When we got married, all i could make was hamburger helper! However, 6 years later, i’ve learned a lot!! If you ever want to learn, or want help, call me! You’ve got time to learn if you want, but if you don’t…that’s ok too!

    love you guys!
