And the Idiot Award Goes to…Me!

Our great friend Smiley came into town last night. Rich and I were really excited to spend some time with him. We went to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Dennie’s.Its a fun seafood place that is really poplar here. Afterward we went to see the new movie Year One. Well, the theater was having problems with the film and the sound was so horrible and every now and then a sound of rock music was heard during the movie. The worst part, the movie itself was terrible. It had very few really funny parts and the few it had were the ones in the previews. If you know me, you know that I laugh at about anything so if I didn’t laugh it was really horrible! The theater gave us free movie passes since the sound was messed up during the movie. So that was a plus. So now the idiot part of the night besides picking a dumb movie. The theater we go to is upstairs in a mall. We actually parked on the second floor but for some reason we started down the escalator when we remembered where we parked. Now the smart thing to do would be go down and then come back up but for some reason we all just started trying to run up the down escalator. We didn’t even think about it, all of a sudden we are all three struggling to get up the stairs. I did this crazy lung leap and made it. Then we all realized what we just did and couldn’t stop laughing. That is until a police officer yelled at us to come over. Then he asked us what we were doing, he scolded us and I apologized. We had to keep our laughter in until we got to the parking lot so that the officer didn’t get mad. That is when we all realized that we really could have hurt ourselves. I am going to blame it all on the media! We watched a dumb movie and did a dumb thing afterward…Isn’t that the excuse everyone gives for dumb actions? That’s our story and we are sticking to it! Ok, so we laughed all night and I am laughing as I type this. I hope you enjoy my silly story.
