The Worst Valentine’s Day..Or Not

For the last three weeks, Rich has been convincing me that he hates Valentine’s Day. I was excited about the silly day myself because it was my first Vday with someone who actually loves me. He told me this story about his childhood that really made me think he was serious. So I tried to be cool with the fact that I was getting no present or even a Happy Valentine’s Day from him. Unfortunately, I had planned out a week full of presents for him. I had something for him everyday and so I had to tell him I was sorry but I had already spent the money so he would have to forgive me. I did tell him that he had to get me card. It could be homemade or bought. Then I promised that I would ignore Vday for the rest of our lives if thats what he really wanted. So I made plans with Nikki for Vday and Rich was going to the church to do some studying.
Little did I know, Rich and Nikki had planned all of this. Rich woke me up on Saturday morning and took me to my favorite coffee shop for breakfast. After breakfast, he handed me a gift card from Toys R Us. We drove to Toy R Us and I bought a fun toy for us to play with. I found a Pirates of the Caribbean Ship that was legos. Then he took me to the mall and he let me pick out perfume. We went to Victoria’s Secret because he loves the Lovespell stuff on me. While we were in Victoria’s Secret, Rich acted normal while looking at perfume. That was until we had to walk to the cash register which is located in the middle of all the lingerie. I looked over at him to see if he was embarrassed but he was looking at the ground. He stared at my feet until we were out of the store. I laughed so loud! Then he handed me a gift car to Chateau which is one of my favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, their gift card machine was out so we grabbed something cheap and eat outside. It was really nice. Then we went grocery shopping and then he handed me a gift card to Cheesecake Bistro. We went and bought cheesecake to go and travel back to the apartment. He cooked dinner for me and we watched a movie and ate cheesecake. We also put together my Pirates Ship toy. It ended up being the best Valentine’s Day I have ever experienced! I can’t believe that I bought his story! Sadly for him, this will be expected every year! He also bought me a High School Musical Blanket and a movie. Isn’t he wonderful! Thanks Rich for a wonderful Vday! And thank you Nikki for playing along:)
