My Favorite NOLA Spot

There are some things about living in New Orleans that drive me crazy. For instance, Walmart is hectic. You don’t just drive to Walmart when you need milk because it is too far away and they are not always stocked like in Pensacola. Also, the traffic is always busy and it can take you five minutes to get to your exit or one hour if there is a fender bender. The people at fast food places are not friendly and customer service is a foreign concept here. With that said, there are so many things I love about living here! One thing is that the best pizza place ever exist only in New Orleans, Slice. But my favorite thing is the parks. Between City Park and Audubon Park a person can always appreciate a nice sunny day. My favorite place at the moment is Audubon Park. It is located uptown and is absolutely beautiful! Rich and I have started going there on Saturday mornings and walking around the jogging track. Wednesday, I was off work for Mardi Gras holidays so Rich picked me up around 7 am and we drove to the park. It was my first time running there and it just happened to be a gorgeous day! Rich actually ran with me and he made about a mile with me. I surprised myself and ran two laps which is about 3.6 miles. I felt so accomplished! It was my first time running 3 miles since October! I am hoping the weather will stay “spring-like” so that we can continue our Saturday tradition! I love this park!!
