I never believed in love at first sight until my recent visit to Starbucks. I went with my great friend Nikki to grab some coffee when I witnessed some major flirting. We ordered our drinks and Nikki, being the obsessive music lover that she is, bought a new cd with her coffee. The cd title was Glam and it was some type of rock collection. I don’t really know because I am not a true music lover like my dear friend. The Starbuck guy was asking her questions about her drink and she never even looked up while she answered. She was totally into checking out the sleeve on her cd. I am extremely use to hearing Nikki talk about music and I never know what she is talking about but I was just listening to her go on and on. Until the Starbucks guy said, “Would you like some glittery eyelashes and leg warmers to go with your coffee?” Nikki was caught off guard but finally looked at the guy and replied, “Already own some thanks.” And they both smiled. The next thing I know, there is a ten minute banter going back and forth between Nikki and the Starbucks guy about bands. Every now and then he would glance my way to try and include me but it all seemed like a foreign language to me. The funny part is that I laugh about everything and I usually laugh hard. I was having to literally bite my tongue so that I didn’t just bust out laughing! When they finished their flirting match, we left and as we walked out the door I totally lost it. Nikki asked me what was so funny and all I could get out is “He should have asked for your phone number!”
To make it all even better, I found out that this guy is in a band. I am telling you he is perfect for my friend! Now I just need to ask him a few questions… Are you a Christian? Can you debate politics and theology? Will you go to Voodoo with Nikki? And when can you break up with your girlfriend? I wish you could have been a fly on the wall…it was hilarious!
Perfect for me! Gheesh!
Wow, I am a little sad that I didn’t get more comments on this blog. I thought it was funny… glad Nikki read it:)
