I have been waiting for the pictures to blog about our 5K we ran this past Saturday. We had a large group of us how ran or walk; Julie, Amanda, Candace, Diana, Mrs.Sharon, and my mother. Diana and I set a goal of finishing the 5K in 35 minutes. The last 5K we ran our time was about 37 minutes. We finished in about 30 minutes and 20 seconds! We were so excited! I have to say that Candace can run pretty fast so we stayed behind her the whole time which is probably the reason we finished so fast. When we got to the first mile marker and they said 9 minutes something, I wanted to jump up and down screaming whoa! I was so proud of all of us! There is nothing like accomplishing a personal goal. I was really proud of my mom and Mrs. Sharon(Diana’s mom). They walked the 5K and it was awesome to see them cross the finish line. I never would have guessed that I would love running. I always admired people who ran but I never thought I could do it. I think between losing weight, running, and going back to school I feel like I am able to accomplish anything! I can’t wait until the next 5K. I think we are running the Firecracker on July 4th. Who wants to join us?
Me me me… I want to do it too. I will have to say though I am a litte OUTTA shape so pleas dont hesitate to leave me if you feel the need!! Hahah!!
Good job! I’ll be doing the Firecracker one also. I probably won’t be able to keep up with y’all, but I shouldn’t be too far behind.

I agree with Rich. But I think Rich should run with Jake. Don’t worry, we girls will wait for you guys at the finish line.

Well I “practiced” running/jogging/walking at the ballpark last night. Needless to say I didn’t make it but half way around the park before I quit running so I might be tailing it with jake and rich at the race. LOL I am SOOO not in shape. Jennie, I just wanted to drop u a little comment today and wish you luck tonight with the BallPark Guy!! Im sure it’s going to be a sweet seranade!!!

Theda, Just keep working on it..I am sure you will do just fine! Lucky for me, I am in Out of town this week so I won’t see the ballpark guy. But I won’t get to see you Friday so you will have to wait for his identity to be revealed! I am laughing at your last comment…its not a red head! Haha.
