I am currently watching Alvin and the Chipmuncks for the fourth time since last night. I am keeping Amanda and Jason’s children while they are in Talledega watching a race. The kids are actually really good for me every time I keep them which is a blessing. Today we went to the beach. We met Jason’s sister and her kids and Michelle there. Bethany cracked me up! I think she might be quite the surfer girl in a few years. She took the boogie board and was diving into the waves and scaring me half to death! The waves took her out several times and if someone would have taken a picture of me runnning to grab her, they would have caught the sheer terror on my face. She had no fear of the water and I was amazed at how much balance the child has. Luke on the other hand, made me hold him to go into the water and then he freaked out when I started to put his feet in the water. He hated the water! So we spent the afternoon throwing the football.
I am looking forward to the children going to bed. It will be great to watch something other than Alvin. The great thing about the beach, the kids are exhausted! They are almost ready for bed. In fact, they are eyes are so heavy that I am having to make sure that Luke doesn’t just tumble over off the couch. I think taking your kids outside and playing hard is the greatest thing a parent or “Aunt” can do. That way they are out by eight! I took some awesome pictures but I can’t get them to load. Maybe my awesome brother will get this fixed for me.
