Is good service the new trend?

Sunday, mom and I drove to Flomaton for some visits with the family. We passed many gas stations trying to hold out for the cheapest we could find. On hwy 29, there was a little gas station that if you blinked, you would miss it. So mom pulled in because we were getting really low and it was cheaper than the big gas stations. Mom gave me the cash and I got out of the car to go inside and pay while she pumped. But as I was walking in, a young man started walking up to mom at the car. He was nice looking and was wearing slacks and button up shirt. I thought what is this man doing! He didn’t look like the kind of guy who would steal her purse and run but I paused and just stared thinking I was going to have to pull out my Taekwondo moves that I haven’t used since I was like 13! Then he took the pump and pumped her gas! Mom told him she wasn’t use to that and he told her that if she gets gas there, she should get use to it! I haven’t seen any gas stations who do this since I was a child. I guess with prices like they are, all gas stations should be out pumping our gas. It was a really random experience and I really wish I had pictures of our faces! I was really nervous! It was a really nice service to offer and I think next time I go that way, I will definitely stop there.

Good story. But it would have been better if you HAD actually pulled out your taekwondo moves… :-)

There was a gas station by Warrington Baptist that my family used to go to all the time when I was little because they had full service. There are maybe just a few left in this area. Especially, with the pay at the pump thing most having going, most people just want to quickly pump, pay and get out of there.
